D8 LE - No One Expects the Londine Inquisition

Reins presents himself at the main gates of the Harkonnen outpost, Imperial credentials in hand and begins requesting to make a unannounced surprise inspection of the books of the facility. At his side is a large hound.

(free kage post of the day)
(plan is to cause a stink, including drawing attention by the bonkers request of having my dog come in to the offices for the audit)

Passive Scrutiny - What can I notice about the guard post/guards?

[Security is thick. Many, well-armed, well-placed. Automated systems present.]

He was immediately denied such things given this base had officially nothing to do with spice mining. It was a military outpost and a commercial hub with the investment of several houses present. But his was on the list - a provisions importer. His dog wasn't raising as much ruckus as he might have hoped. He could of course escalate, but the dog was not exactly a part of the delegation enough to not be laser-cut down by one of Harkonnen soliders at a slightest indication of trouble.

Gain trait walking razor edge for scene.

Reins pushes a little further being very careful not to attract enough attention to get them killed, but enough to draw eyes.

Inquisition- Distraction Check - duty/Communication - Thoery into practice, Intense Study - Walking Razor edge 14/8 TN 3-1 = 2: 2#1d20 19 14

1/2 success no added bonus. (Diff lowered from 3 with trait)

Unfortunately the added security does effect his ability to push too much and he decides to retreat before pushing them to take action.

[Complication: Monitored]

Reins' errant behaviour drew attention to himself though; not enough to distract, but enough to put a red spot on his head. And that of his dog.

Reins responds by backing up carefully, and returning back to the Frigate with no further fuss.

Thankfully, the thopter had already been out. He'd bought them just enough time.
