The Pass is a majestic sight from a distance: twin spires rising from the desert floor in a form of a gate through which the global desert pours into the Minor Erg with the powers of winds. The southernmost spire is lower and looks more like a mound in comparison. It is hard to believe they are not man-made, though there is no proof that they are anything but natural.

The worms this way come into the Erg. Perhaps this is the best way to observe them?
