Reins Listens quietly, nodding a long a bit but then frowns, "A Storm?"

He nods at that. "A storm. A test." He didn't know if it was metaphorical or true, but he went with it. What was the worst that could happen?

[Kannon]

"You must turn into a bat!" Hebe averred.

That made him think of where he'd seen bats mentioned in a report. The Depression. If she was speaking literally... that hell in a storm? That sounded like a bad day. But he's had bad days before. He would have to give it some thought. He nodded to her. "So I must."

Other reports he might have read indicated storms on Arrakis were straight-away lethal. They shorted every device, tore plasteel and stripped flesh to the bone. If there were ways to survive them, that knowledge was probably exclusive to the natives.
