A western spur of the rock enclosure that constitutes the living space in the Northern Hemisphere, False Wall South is connected to the Shield Wall via the Pasty Mesa. Together with False Wall East. it forms the boundaries of the Minor Erg, a desert that would like the Imperial or Haga Basins if not for one spot where it connects with the global desert of Arrakis - Harg Pass.

In itself, it's a rocky plateau cut by several ridges that form a maze throughout the area. It is reported to be just barely graced with human habitation: the only confirmed settlement is Chin Rock, a minor mining base and a garrison operating in the Minor Erg and - more rarely - in the deep desert to the south.
