[Day 1 - SMR] This one goes where?

[Dorian Drake]

After the banquet, Dorian had mingled a bit and then headed to his room to familiarize himself with the stillsuit. He first swept the room for any unpleasantries left behind.

It took a few hours of trying, but he was finally able to realize... that there was no way he was getting this thing completely on without help. He called for assistance and stood there with his legs and arms partially in the thing.

[Ahmina]

There was a light knock on the door before someone asked

"Yes, please come in." Dorian answered from inside.

Upon opening the door she would see Dorian waddling around in the stillsuit trying to fit it on. It was doubtful she had ever seen a wetsuit, but Dorian was doing his best to slip it on like one and it wasn't working out for him.

''Sahid seems troubled...perhaps he should change into something else before this on explains the workings of the suit?''

"It's that bad huh? Well, I rely on your expertise... and you can call me Dorian or 'you'." He says as he peels off the stillsuit, leaving him in his undergarments.

[Ahmina]

''Ah...this explains much sahid'' she said pointing at the undergarnments ''The stillsuit collects both urine and feces. When you wear it...you only wear it.''

"... Does it have to?" Dorian wouldn't let shame get between him and success, so he stripped down fully and prepared to don the stillsuit once again,l one foot in, before another question occurred to him. "Is there some kind of powder or something used between the wearer and the stillsuit? I can only imagine the chafing."

[Ahmina]

''No sahid'' she replied simply ''Any powder would hamper the recuperation of the sweat...but the chafing is not much of a problem''

[Dorian Drake]

"I guess I've dealt with worse." This statement was subtly emphasized by the abundance of scars across his body.

"That is a snug fit." He says pulling the bottom half of the stillsuit into place. "Why does it feel like these boots have suspension inside? I wouldn't think that would be necessary when you're walking across loose sand most of the time." He asked while shifting his weight side to side, from foot to foot.

[Ahmina]

''Perspiration, sahid, even there. Then some design have pumps in the heels...you might have one''

Ahmina turned away when the began dressing himself again

''Sahid should ask for adjusted fitting if it is too small''

[Dorian Drake]

"Oh, I like to complain, but I'm sure it's accurately fitted. I have faith the Count wouldn't make a mistake like that. I'm just used to wearing looser, less restrictive clothing." He manages to get the top half on and begins fidgeting with the mouth and nose pieces, the mask and hood still set aside.

"Have you spent much time in one of these? When exactly does it need to be worn? Just when I'm out in the open desert?" He rattles off a few questions while working out how the nostril plug could be inserted so it wouldn't easily fall out.

[Ahmina]

''It should be worn all the time, sahid. You have not experienced real heat or thirst yet''

[Dorian Drake]

"I'll grant you Arrakis has heat beyond anything I've experienced, but I have most definitely experienced real thirst." Dorian recalled the brutal training on Ginaz, some of the hellish trials he and his fellow disciples had to endure.

"Can you imagine a place surrounded by water with not a single drop to drink. No stillsuit to rely on, no water traps to scavenge from, and open desert before you. Only, this is a desert of water, an ocean, tempting you with the very resource you so desperately lack. The catch is, if you drink this water, it only brings you more thirst, only brings you closer to death. The only things you have are your training and your knife." His last words were a little muffled as he fit the mouthpiece and mask into place, followed by the hoodcap.

Now fully encapsulated by the stillsuit, Dorian tested his range of motion. He stretched and moved through a few forms. "Yep, just like a wet suit, as soon as it's finally on, it's like a second skin."

[Ahmina]

''I hope that this memory serves you well, Sahid''

But there is no other place like Arrakis

''Do you require further assistance?''

[Dorian Drake]

"Yes, I believe I have sorted it out thanks to your guidance." Dorian said approvingly. "I appreciate your help."

She bowed her head
