The last carryalls had returned by the First Moonset, amid frantic securing of the equipment. Harkonnen had been busy coordinating the effort. The captain of the outpost seemed pragmatic and competent for a change and he had made his people work hand in hand with the mining personnel. Labour relations and care for the equipment seemed much better here than at the Splintered Rock.
Once the storm hit, no matter its phase, being in the open or exiting into it meant death. Weak shelter meant death. Being in flight while it raged meant almost certain death.
