While it is perfectly normal for any interstellar commuter to stay at their vessel in the heighliner haul for the duration of the trip, for those who travel as individual passengers and for all those who get bored on the small board, the Guild offers a mind-boggling plethora of large entertainment lounges, restaurants, luxury shops, spa experiences and many other services, usually organised in conveyor belt promenades in a form of a horseshoe around the ship haul, observable through large plaz screens. Everpresent, even a bit overpresent Wayku personnel, recognisable for their trademark shaded glasses and the heighliner communinet headsets, attends to and sometimes solicits for passengers' needs, carrying some touristy fare on themselves at all times, but in the end they can be convinced to leave one be.
Interstellar communication is not instantaneous as space-folding is a singular act performed by the Holtzman engine, not an open channel. Still, the Guild gets the news the earliest, and so many passengers go out just to watch the recent developments on large solido projectors or gossip around. Space-folding requires no time, but embarking and disembarking in each system often takes days, hours if you are lucky. Even the route from Kaitain to Arrakis isn't a direct one and takes 2-4 standard days.
The Guild enforces strict regulations against violence and shields (that distort the engine) by punishing any transgressor and whatever organisation they represent with non-negotiable denial of its services for a period of time of their choosing. This is enough for even the brashest or the most feuding types to be on their best behaviour.
