Dmitri Harkonnen didn't seem to hear her; whosever 'eyes' she was borrowing for this, that person remained silent.

"Rebuilding the infrastructure is the priority. It's in shambles! Damn Richese underinvested everything here. We'll have to put some of our wealth into this planet before it pays us back, Abulurd. But it will." The booming man paused, and turned somewhere to Gene's side. "I want you to work with Vladimir and our mentats and find good spots for new spice processing facilities. Keeping them in Arrakeen, so far from spice fields, is stupidity of our predecessors we need to rectify. I want a new refinery, Abulurd!"

Now that was something of interest. She continued to listen as she looked around the area once more. It was rather impressive that they had the due diligence to do what was needed for the supply chain, but that was a small compliment to them trying to kill her a few times.

She nodded her head as she watched the scene continue to play out.

[Kannon]

"Go take a squadron to what they call False Wall West here, scout me out a good, secure spot. There are rich spice fields in that area, we may as well build up there if the desert rabble is not too bothersome. Vladimir is figuring out that part now - how much resources will have to go into population control." The man turned to Gene. "You see, Sister Lobia, we are handling matters here with professionalism and vigour. You can reassure the Emperor's Truthsayer that here on Arrakis House Harkonnen is acting in the best interest of His Majesty Elrood IX. We shall be the siridar rulers the Throne will be finally proud of. The spice will flow."

And just as she was about to reply to this stocky yet handsome and charismatic man, her vision began to fade.

Seeing her sense starting to return, she'll find that handsome and charismatic man replaced by a stern and terse man, with a bit of concern in his eyes. But he waits for her to say anything before jumping to any conclusions.

She blinked a few times as her vision once again began to return to her. She coughed a little, regaining her composure and stared at Bom for a few moments before she spoke. "Well...it was certainly something I saw. I saw the vision of the past. Dmitri Harkonnen, to be exact. His rise to power upon this planet, his plans." She spends a few moments reviewing everything that was said to her in excruciating detail, as if she was there. Recounting to the two what was said, the emotions she felt, even how the air smelled. It was precise and accurate, because it was like she was there.

Because she was there.

It was a intoxicating rush of knowledge and power. She wanted to do it more...but she knew it the dangers. Just keep it in this one small moment for now. Let her body recover from the Spice. She finished her assessment of the situation and stared at them for a moment longer. "Please tell me that it was worth the risk."

That she experienced a vision so precise of someone who was purportedly her ancestor was an oddity in itself. Only the Reverend Mothers who have gone through the agony could access their Other Memories - at least such were the teachings of Bene Gesserit. Was it the spice that broke those rules? Surely not, the Sisters had known how it worked on them for generations. Perhaps that was some early boon of initial exposure, irreplicable as the organism adjusted to the intake unless it was increased, and increased... To access the collective memory and wisdom of humankind, even if only in the line of females, was certainly an intoxicating power. At moments like these Gene wished she had stayed on course with her training, had untapped the deep secrets of human psyche the Sisterhood guarded. Here she was at the midst of something incomprehensibly alien, doomed to guesswork.

Sister Lobia - who was she? What was she doing with Dmitri Harkonnen those ninety years back here in Arrakeen? Gene didn't know her mother's pedigree. The Sisters were obliged to conceive children with various nobles of the Imperium, feeding into the extensive breeding program spanning millenia. If this Lobia was Gene's maternal grandmother or great-grandmother, Gene had no way of knowing until she would become a Reverend Mother herself. Such were the rules of Bene Gesserit - no girl born to it knew her mother or father. That helped with loyalty to the order - no Sister could claim pedigree that would divide her loyalties. It worked the other way around - those with acknowledged pedigree were hardly ever allowed to advance in prominence within the ranks - the Sisterhood was just running a prestigious educational service to the nobleborn girls of the Imperium, ingraining loyalty to themselves in those girls to add another layer to their already extensive network of spies and agents.

Still, this was Arrakis, a planet that was breaking rules because of its abundance of the supreme awareness-extension drug, and the Sisterhood had to take care of what was going on here with extreme care. In the end, the flight of that agent in Carthag should have come at no surprise, as was the prominent presence of Lady Margot Fenring as the purported nexus of Sisterhood activities here. But there had to be more, centuries if not millenia of laying the groundwork for some measure of control over this place. Gene felt it more than she knew it. If there were traces of it, they must have been in the local religions - the favourite field of the order's manipulation.

Lady Fenring - was she having answers to some of these questions? She might be owing them to Gene after the Carthag affair.

[Bomilcar Thorvald]

Bomilcar didn't know, this was more the realm of Cuyler to analyze this type of information. He gets a drink and offers it to Gene.

"Should be useful," he says looking to their other companion. He then looks back to Gene and meets her eyes. "Thanks."

There was much to think about with her. Her own family's past may lead to something of a future for her. She knew who she had to talk to, for sure. "I'll have to talk to Lady Fenring about much of this, but for now she was in no state to do so. Her senses were on fire and enticed. All she could do was calm herself down before she or said something stupid.

She eagerly takes the drink from Bomilcar and sips it to settle herself. "What did you see, Gray?"

Seeing that she needed to settle a bit, Bom nodded. Both of the ladies now having recovered from their visions took a small bit of the spice himself and moved to get a cup of wine himself.

It was just a tiny bit to ease the minor ache in his throat and relax. But it felt nice.

Cuyler was thinking over what Genevieve described and how it might fit with her own experience.

"I heard more than saw, like I was being lectured by Chef Fletcher again." she answered. "It was all about the ecosystem of Arrakis and how it was dominated by the worms. How difficult and foolish it would be to disrupt it. Something happened somewhere called Orgiz."
