In the sparring gym aboard the Frigate, Dorian sat in quiet stillness, wearing his stillsuit, shield belt, and customary dual kindjals. Before a friendly workout, he might warmup or stretch to loosen up, but today there was a heaviness in the room. The uninitiated might miss the tell-tale signs, but those who had put their life in their own hands and had taken lives with those same hands would feel it. Dorian was not slacking off, he was preparing his mind and his body for the clash to come.
